Metrics Navigator is an important open source educational resource! It was originally started as a personal coding portfolio site but transformed over time into what is it today. The foundations of this site were laid down back in 2009 and have morphed over time into a clear purpose: to share information freely with anyone who wants it!
This is, of course, what the Internet is all about. Open source information is so important that the entire base of human knowledge depends on it. Even before the Internet, public libraries provided knowledge to anyone with a library card. Before that, information was communicated via radio, telegraph, smoke signals, word-of-mouth, and generation to generation. The lineage of information sharing is important and Metrics Navigator is just another resource out in the world trying to carry this tradition forward.
One of the things I really enjoy about owning and operating Metrics Navigator is that I can do more than just talk data all the time. Among many things, I love working with electronics, playing retro games and cooking! Without sounding too much like a dating profile here, I’ll just leave things there and point out that I plan to post my hobbies in these areas when I can on the site!

Educational Content
The greatest thing we can accomplish from this site is to educate people. Sharing knowledge is clearly a cornerstone concept here. All topics covered are researched using reputable sources which are also given to the reader to verify on their own. Data is always changing so some topics written even just a few months ago can become slightly off or even obsolete. Therefore, it is important to always check sources for yourself!
The idea is to give all the resources we can to make self-research possible. Discussions are always welcome and preferred to silos and knowledge gatekeeping.
